to Vancouver during the first year of retirement he backpacked from Edmonton to Vancou last year he did a combination drive and bicycle ride from Edmonton to i figured id get a bit of this he has 78 moved to the univer sity from the Canadian film Institute in Jim chairman of the University history department and director of the schools film Archive said the move has made the University the most important film collection Centre of its kind in More than rare movies Are in the Skinner and it is expected to reach films in the near some of the films in the collection Are so rare the University will not part with for fear the irreplaceable prints would be lost or sociology and Art history students from As far away As California and the Southern United states who have inquired about certain films in the bran Don collection have been told they would have to come to the wheat City to see the Central location an asset Brandon became the new Archive for rare films after the film society federa Tion moved its collection from Ottawa because of administrative rising costs and staffing As Brandon Central location made the shift More we operate the service much cheaper than the Canadian a copy of Skinner and there is another Erich von Stroheim film he would like to get the 1929 movie Queen featuring Gloria the University is still on the Lookout for these and to add to its already
