City supporter of overpass wants redress by Andy Blicq a Winnipeg lawyer claims the City exceeded its authority when it decided not to build the controversial Sherbrook Mcgregor overpass. In a letter to mayor Bill Norrie and Council lawyer j. Grant Webster says a proponent of the overpass intends to seek redress through the courts Over the matter. The letter says Ai Christie who spearheaded a move ment to have the overpass Over the up rail marshalling Yards in North Winnipeg built intends to seek an order declaring that Council acted beyond its Powers and such other Relief As May be deemed appropriate in the Circum the proposed overpass was included in City development plans and adopted by Council some years ago says the letter.
