Opposition Leader Howard Pawley said yesterday he supports the establishment of an Alcan smelter in the province if it can be negotiated on reasonable terms. But he said it would set a bad precedent to allow any privatization of Hydro. We think the government is going to have to do a better Job of Pawley said. He said the nip will not make a final decision o n whether to support the proposed legislative changes facilitating the agreement until it scrutinizes them in detail.
