May 7. 1981 Belfast shops close is finneral Belfast a thousands of roman Catholic mourners poured into Belfast today for a hero s funeral of Bobby Sands and businesses in the City s Catholic districts were rezoned responding "100 per cent to requests they close As a Mark of respect for the Ira hunger striker. Protestants were gathering for a me Morial service for Irish Republican army victims scheduled to be held at Belfast s City Hall eight Kilometres away from the cemetery where Sands was to be buried after a Catholic Funer Al mass. The 600 British soldiers flown in overnight to strengthen the shield be Iween Northern Ireland s protestant majority and Catholic minority were on standby As fears Rose of violence Fol lowing Sands s burial with full Ira military honors in a part of the Mill town cemetery reserved for Ira men and women. Police armed with rifles were on patrol but Security forces appeared to be keeping a Low profile before the mass at St. Luke s Church in the twin Brook District of Catholic West Belfast. Kevin Degroot a resident in surgery testified Daniels was admitted to the emergency Ward on Jan. 1 with what was said to be a Stab wound. Degroot said the wound was four to six centimetres deep but was no thought to have pierced her abdominal cavity. Daniels was treated kept under observation for about 19 hours and released the next Day. She had gotten remarkably Degroot said. He added the patient no signs of infection. However Daniels returned to the Hospital the following week complain ing of severe pain. Daniels was in labor and at that time obviously infected. When asked in a later conversation whether there was anything More to the Job than just modelling he told the reporters they might be asked to take part in sexual activities. When you do a private session maybe the person for whom you Are modelling finds you very attractive and wants to go further. And of course you Are paid by the client consequently for he said. You can say no i m not interest he added. Soliman said he could find appoint ments for the reporter with either men or women. As i be told you the main interest is the modelling and what comes after it s up to you and the person. Unless you want Only to go where that sex is he said. When asked whether he could arrange for the reporter to meet with people Only interested in that part of the business he said yes of course i while he insisted during the later interview that he receives nothing for referrals during an earlier Conversa Tion with one of the reporters who placed a newspaper and Soliman said it s the client who pays me once a month depending on How much or How Many persons i provide so you Don t pay me anything. I collect once a month something for the modelling Only. I Don t collect anything for anything else. Soliman also told one reporter that he is paid in supplies and studio time by the artists who hire his models. After the second reporter s Adap geared in the newspaper Soliman Tele phoned and offered a modelling Job for colleagues and artists who needed subjects to photograph sketch paint or sculpt. He said he would employ the reporter for a couple of nude Model Ling sessions and then refer him to other Amateur Soliman said the Model would be paid per hour and it could be for 20 to 30 hours work a week depending on the schedule and popular Ity. Payment would be in Cash or by Cheque and paid directly to the Model. The sessions would take place in apartments and private studios of his friends he said. Soliman stated he could refer the reporter to "10 or 12 friends for modelling work. Three of the friends were females in their 30s and the rest men Between 27 and 50 years old. Soliman pressed for a meeting in his Home where i could Sec How you he asked both reporters about their sexual experiences. Soliman stated explicitly what were the minimum Homo sexual acts expected by his clients. The civil servant said he had referred other people to his friends and for some of them it worked Well for a while and for some of them it was a i Haven t referred hundreds of peo he said. I have referred maybe three or four persons. I m doing this on a very part time he and his friends were always look ing for Good models and when one of the members would find a Good one they would refer him or her to each other he said.
