Fairchuk to fight dismissal Len Fairchuk the Indian affairs in formation officer trainee who ran into trouble last month because of his views on department policy has been officially fired. Fairchuk said last night he will file a grievance Over his dismissal which became effective april 30. He also said pickets will be set up outside the Indian affairs office Mon Day morning to protest the depart ment s actions. Fairchuk who is now working in a native artist develop ment and marketing program called project White Buffalo said representatives from the greater Winnipeg Indian Council and the four nation s confederacy will take part in the protest scheduled to Start at 8 . County court judge Charles Doyle said before imposing the sentence that Rooney has brought embarrassment and loss of prestige to his fellow maps suffered personal anguish and probably ruined his political career.
