Up the idea of a Petroleum Reserve in Canada to Supply the northeastern United states in time of need was revived yesterday at the annual conference of new England governors and Eastern Canadian premiers. The proposal was made by gov. Joseph Brennan of Maine who said previous attempts by the american and Canadian governments to establish a strategic Oil Reserve in abandoned Iron Ore mines at Bell Island Nam. And in Salt domes near Canso n.s., never got past the talking stage. But he said that Timothy probably would t have survived anyway because the most critical period after he was injured was during the time before he was transported to the Hospital. Had he been transported earlier Timothy s chances for survival would have been much better he said. In an interview the deceased s father Al Sarna said he is concerned about the adequacy of ambulance ser vice. He said the ambulance Driver chose to go to seven Oaks Hospital because he Felt it was closer than the health sciences Centre. But Sama said he has personally measured the Dis Tance and found it two tenths of a mile longer. The Driver testified he was not totally familiar with that area of the City. Sarna said since his son s death he has struggled with the notion that he could have taken his son to Hospital faster than the ambulance.
