and finally new and then its actually worse for Many technically there Are Only seven statutory holidays in boxing Day int a Gimme and the August Holiday is a civic remembrance Day is governed by a separate Law in but everyone gets it i hear you employers out there saying that its about time we shirker had a Good string of working Days so something will actually get All that Holiday stuff hurts no wonder Canada lags behind the United were a nation of layabout while our american friends happily toil but guess what workers get 12 statutory holidays a canadians generally receive nine but again Only seven Are statutory in maybe our american friends Are better workers because there better i hear those voices we have to work harder up Here to be More Canadian workers have had it cushy for too Why dont we just All get to work and Stop counting when our next Holiday comes up id love to see the Absentee rates at this time of the i bet somewhere around late february those rates go through the How productive and competitive is that there May not be any official but that wont Stop people from taking much needed mental health its not hard to persuade an employer that youve got a cold when its if that cold Only happens on a monday or a people need a break to tackle their jobs in a productive and meaningful they aint going to do that if there dragging their Butts around for almost four but there is a for years there has been talk just talk about giving canadians a Long weekend in the name bandied about is heritage who the Heck cares what its called just give it to i know in not alone in you people out there feel you need a midwinter break let me know How you feel so that if nothing else in not suffering by if misery loves company maybe the whole miserable lot of us can make it to and just if we yell loud enough some people out there will take surely our politicians can put aside the Fate of the nation and the crumbling Economy Long enough to give us a Day but they better make it
