Grandfather on a gust Dave died peacefully at Home will his loved ones at his Side after a Long and courageous Battle with cancer predeceased by his Anna and Chris Gopher Gunther and his Anne and sue Dave leaves to cherish his his wife o 42 Hilda Nee Evans who feels she has not Only lost a husband but her Dearest Friend he also leaves to mourn his beloved children daughter Deborah am granddaughter Eliza Beth and his son Glen Ginther Margaret of Samuel and Michael his brother Fred his nieces Anc nephews and his Specia Betty Anc Dave was born in Russia on May 1917 and emigrated to Canada at the age of he grew up in the North end of Winnipeg and attended Ralph Brown and Faraday his greatest enjoyment then was play ing he served overseas with the Royal Winnipeg rifles during the second world there again his love of hockey followed As he was on the Canadian hockey team that won the Gold medal in Holland at the end of the when he returned from the War he worked first with Deleeuw construction As a later on he worked at Model Homes and prior to retirement at Malcom Dave was a master Carpenter and excellent his legacy to his children will be not Only the great love he had for but All the Beautiful furniture he made for the houses he built Many years ago Are still standing proud and erect he loved remodelling old Homes for friends and he was a real Daves greatest love was his family and he was always so proud of his children and but he had a great love of nature As Well and loved All of gods Little especially his cat he also loved and tended his Little Garden before he became too ill to care for he had a special affection for dear Little Granny who lived with him and Hilda for some 20 she loved him As if he were her own his caring ways made him a special person to so Many people and though he suffered such he never the family would like to give their sincerest thanks to Harlos at the Riverview health Centre for his compassionate without and the nurse Richard Kozar who gave such care and the family would have had such difficulty dealing with Daves final we would also like to give our grateful thanks to Dale Davidson and her associate Rick Stacey who gave Dave such Loving care the past his face would always Light up when Dale and Rick walked through the also a big thank you to Prodan of the Winnipeg clinic and his assistant who were always so kind and caring the past few years while Dave struggled to beat his thanks also to Riverview health Centre nurses on South 3 and Birgit the family would also like to thank the neighbors and friends who have offered or helped out Over the past few in particular Tom and Shannon Mcfetridge who were always there when we needed them and also Steve and Randy and Lloyd and truly great neighbors friends like Hazel Pat Teresa Dianne Helen Mcphail and june Duncanson who did so much for the family to get through this difficult Dave was a member of Riverview United Church and really enjoyed the visits and the
