Mom was born octo Ber 22, 1910 at cantal Saskatchewan. At an Early age mom and her brother moved to St. Boniface where their Mother worked for the Grey nuns while the children attended school. After completing school mom went to work at various employment always remaining in close Contact with her family and her cousins especially Donat Emond and addle Charles whom she so cherished. There were countless amounts of people Over the years that mom befriended and always kept close to her heart. Mom later married Hyacinthe Lanoie april 5,1937 and with him moved to St. Norbert and then la Salle where they raised their family. After her family was grown mom went to work for St. Amant Centre where often she would bring handicapped children for a stay Over at her Home. She was totally devoted to them. Irater dad became ill and she looked after him until his death in 1969. Later she resigned from St. Amant Centre to go look after an ailing sister in Law until she passed away. She returned to Winnipeg Quot Chez Nous for a Short while. When her brother in Law also needed looking after due to ill health mom returned to North Bay nursing him until he passed away. In North Bay mom made some wonderful friends especially a a path whom she loved so. When she moved Back to Winnipeg she rejoined her family extended family and close friends. She and Madeleine Balcaen travelled the world and loved to live life to the fullest. Mom was predeceased by her parents William Day and Alvina Emond her brother Joseph her husband Hyacinthe and numerous Brothers and Sisters in Law. She will be cherished forever by her children Rene Eleanor Jean Margaret Rose Marie and Marie Reine Rene grandchildren Dwayne and rim Gordon Caroline Barr Marcel and Joanne Gary Michelle and Lauren Danielle Cory Nicole great grandchildren Brett Adam Kaitlyn Mikayla Morgan and Chris and Dylan. He had two great passions in life his family and repairing and rebuilding classic cars. Neil loved sports especially hockey and baseball both of which he played and coached All his life. He dedicated Many hours to coaching Community club teams for which he received Many awards. In 1987, he coached the Winnipeg South chiefs Junior baseball team and was selected As coach of the year. This allowed him to travel throughout Canada and the . He remained in this position until his retirement in 1994 with a total of 42 years of service with the railway. His enjoyment of the engines continued for he had the privilege of working on the Prairie dog Central and was a member of their society dad received a Volunteer award from the Manitoba major Junior hockey league this Spring for his unselfish continuing Volunteer ser vice to the Community clubs minor Junior and senior hockey. He was the general manager and owner of the Transcona trailers hockey club and the founder of the Transcona steamers. His involvement through the years included coach president of Transcona minor hockey and ref Eree in chief. He generously gave countless hours of his time Over the years to ensure that the sport of hockey was available to those who enjoyed playing it. As Well he enjoyed thoroughbred race horses which he owned and bred Over the years. He loved the outdoors and found much plea sure at their country Home. He would often be working outside with the dogs lady Blackie and cats Lucky patches and Missy in toe. Dad was a very generous Man who was always willing to lend a hand.
