After her family was grown mom went to work for St. Amant Centre where often she would bring handicapped children for a stay Over at her Home. She was totally devoted to them. Irater dad became ill and she looked after him until his death in 1969. Later she resigned from St. Amant Centre to go look after an ailing sister in Law until she passed away. She returned to Winnipeg Quot Chez Nous for a Short while. When her brother in Law also needed looking after due to ill health mom returned to North Bay nursing him until he passed away. In North Bay mom made some wonderful friends especially a a path whom she loved so. When she moved Back to Winnipeg she rejoined her family extended family and close friends. She and Madeleine Balcaen travelled the world and loved to live life to the fullest. Mom was predeceased by her parents William Day and Alvina Emond her brother Joseph her husband Hyacinthe and numerous Brothers and Sisters in Law.
