Kirkpatrick and Lisa Perry of Jennifer Chris Jill Fiancee Kris Skelly and and Taylor Mackelvie of she is also survived by brother in Law Vernon Mackelvie of Mary recently had a wonderful visit with Jim Edward Parsons on june at Victoria general Jim beloved Uncle and Friend passed away at the age of 67 years with his daughter Linda at his he also leaves to mourn his passing his Sis Dorothy Leslie Culler Wendy Vincent brother Dennis Parsons numerous and extended family along with special Audrey Ken and Meagan Taplin and Jim was predeceased by his wife Nan Mother Edith father Frank and Arlene and Jim was born and raised in he grew up and received his Early education in West Kildonan where he was Active in Community sports and enjoyed Winters with family and friends playing ice hockey on the backyard in his Early Jim joined the sea cadets which led him to join the Navy at the age of 18 while in the Navy Jim served As an Able Seaman in the korean he was later stationed in Halifax and then in following his naval Jim was employed by the provincial government in Victoria and he was subsequently employed by the department of fisheries and oceans Federal government As a financial his employment took Jim and his family from to on and finally Home to Winnipeg where he retired in in Jim married his love and Friend Nan As a result of this Union they had their daughter Linda Jim remained a devoted husband and Friend to Nan even after her Sud Den passing in october Jim will be missed yet fondly remembered by his family who looked at Jim As a and Active Community although a private person in his later Jim loved and enjoyed Many family his love of music and sports continued his warm heart fuelled by the special gifts that his life offered this was especially True with the Little ones in the family and his Bear hugs will be missed by Jim will be forever missed and lovingly remembered by his daughter and Best Friend who he devoted his life and love to Linda my father my father is a Man of who always stands by me through troubles and through turmoils not with standing what they not Only in the Good but in the bad times too his compassion and unselfish love have always voracious Reader and a master she was also highly skilled in sewing and designer she was an avid visiting the United states and Canada from coast to she approached everything she did with irrepressible which carried her though Many life challenges and through her final the family is deeply grateful for the gentle professionalism of palliative care coordinator Cheryl Smith and family physician Gian also for the care of Irving the staff of the Lac Dubonnet clinic and of Concordia and Grace hospitals Home care coordinator Sharon and Home care workers Seeta and Millie gave so much of bursaries to help fund his educational during his medical studies he was Able to take a six month elective at the teaching Hospital in following graduation from the University of Manitoba with his he completed a year of internship before beginning his career As an emergency physician at the health sciences Centre in he completed 11 years in health care at health sciences before embarking on a career in family Craig worked a further 12 years in private practice in the North end of Winnipeg before ill health forced him to retire at the end of during his last three years of practice Craig took a great interest in practising Medicine in Northern Manitoba and he made Many trips to the Pas to work in and around their Community and it gave him great pleasure to Widen his horizons meeting and working with new people in the in addition to his clinical work he was also on staff at seven Oaks general served on Many committees and worked with disadvantaged youth and adults Over the Craig had Many other interests and they included sports and being with his he was fortunate to be Able to travel the world and was so Happy to be Able to visit Australia in 1999 during a period of remission with his he made Many friends along the Way and their prayers and sup port were a great sustaining Factor during his ill Craig loved the practice of Medicine and All the opportunities that it gave him to meet and help to make friends and to take advantage of what life had to he lived a full and Busy life and was very proud of his although he was a quiet Man by nature he had an innate zest for life that enabled him to live his life to the the family would like to offer their sincere thanks to Eric Bovy and Fred the staff at cancer care Manitoba especially Kathy Ramesar and Nancy Gould and to All
