Winnipeg Free Press (Newspaper) - June 20, 2004, Winnipeg, Manitoba A b boy 12, dad save family from fire children rescued from blazing House by Alexandra Paul a 12-year-old boy and his dad saved their family from a horrific fire in Point Douglas Early yesterday. Cameron Bruyere and his father Richard Bruyere 31, rescued five children Between them. The scene outside the two Storey Row House at 118 Lorne ave. At 6 15 . Yester Day was terrifying. Neighbours said they heard the anguished screams of trapped children shatter the morning Dawn As Black smoke poured from the dwelling. Six kids ranging in age from two months to 12 years were in the House with two adults when the fire broke out. Winnipeg police said yesterday the fire was accidental and started because a stove element was left on. Neighbours yesterday said two teenage boys in the neighbourhood who heard the crackle of the flames dialled 911 to Call fire fighters.
