There were politicians and pomp in the morning As Canada Day festivities were officially launched at fort Gibraltar in St. Boni face. But mostly it was a Day for election weary Manitoban to tend to other civic duties ? relaxing with the kids checking out the buskers and recent improvements at the Forks or lying in the Sun and doing next to nothing. Not that anyone forgot what Day it was. Red Maple Leafs and Canadian flags were everywhere. They were tattooed on children a faces flapping from baby carriages rising like Anten Nae from women a hair adorning thou Sands of shirts and stuck to the rear View mirrors of motorcycles. You be got to be proud to be Canad an said Sofia Kolodziej. She was enjoying the children a band just kid Din at old Market Square in the Exchange District with her two year old son Peter and daughter Ania just one month old.
