Winnipeg fire and paramedic service spokesman Robin Alford said the cause of the poisoning is reported to be a Hibachi an outdoor charcoal Grill that was brought indoors and used to Cook food on top of the stove. The Barbecue was left to smoulder until it went out on its own. It gives off Carbon monoxide As a byproduct of burning fuel. A woman and five children were in stable condition after ambulances were called a Home at 1219 Ashburn St. In the West end yesterday just before 11 . The children included one infant and four others ranging in age from eight to 12, Alford said. The relationship of the woman to the children was not immediately known yesterday. Two men who were overnight guests at the Home also inhaled the fumes but were not exposed to it As Long said Alford. Eventually breathing in Carbon monoxide will cause dizziness and disorientation in addition to headaches and nausea. High Levels of Carbon monoxide can be lethal. First responders on the scene yesterday took readings inside the Home of 400 parts per million of the Gas Alford said.
