His son Larry Coulter remembered his father last night As a tireless advocate for labour rights and social Justice. He was always Busy always a political activist but never to the extreme. For years Coulter also served As Campaign manager for Stanley Knowles who was among the longest serving maps in the House of commons. During the second world War Coulter served in the Royal Canadian air Force As a flight sergeant from 1942 to 1945. He was a founding member of the United Way of Winnipeg in 1971, As Well As a founding member of meals on wheels Manitoba Blue Cross the Winnipeg chamber of Commerce and the social planning Council of Winnipeg according to his biography on the provinces website for the order of Manitoba.
