By Ian Hitchen b Randon the term Snail mail was taken to a whole new level of slow recently when John Scinocca finally received a postcard his sister mailed to him More than 38 years ago. Scinocca 56, said he was floored when he saw the card which his sister Antoinette sent from Salt Lake City almost four decades ago. It just made me wonder where this Little card could have been All these years said Scinocca a Brandon resident. It just boggles my mind where it might have been. Antoinette bought the card in Wyoming and mailed it from Salt Lake City while travelling by bus to los Angeles to attend University. She would Send a lot of Post cards to people Scinocca said of his sister who now lives in Stratford ont. The humorous card which was addressed to Scinocca and his parents Mike and Mary depicts a Cowboy herding cattle while Riding a giant Jack Rabbit under the greeting Howdy from Wyoming. Antoinette is in the midst of moving and a snot available for an interview. But Scinocca said his sister does recall sending the postcard. That was her thing. Sending postcards. She took the greyhound to and from school so shed always write Home on All her Little stops along the Way. Scinocca was still in High school when the card was mailed and lived with his parents in their 23rd Street Home. His father died in 1993 and his Mother passed away in 1997. It finally arrived at the family Home which Scinocca still owns about three weeks ago. The Home is now vacant but Scinocca and his son David occasionally receive mail there. Canada Post spokeswoman Teresa Williams said there Are a number of possible reasons for decades Long deliveries. For instance a letter May be found tucked in an old Book at a Sale and its new owner then mails it to its intended destination.
