Com a 3 Ottawa the Federal liberals will go ahead with a planned summer caucus Retreat in Winnipeg next week unless prime minister Stephen Harper announces an election Campaign before then. Harper is widely expected to ask gov. Gen. Michelle Jean to dissolve parliament sometime in the next week but Liberal caucus chairman Anthony Rota says right now the Liberal meeting is still All systems go. However the meeting would be cancelled if Harper drops the writ before the meeting begins tuesday and it would be Cut Short if the election Call comes before the meeting is Over on thursday. If there is an election Call during our caucus Well go Back to our constituencies said Rota. But to make a decision to cancel it based on harpers threats. Were not going to do that. Currently most pundits seem to have pegged Friday sept. 5 As the most Likely Day for the election Campaign to begin. Rota said most Liberal maps have been getting ready for an election nonstop for More than a year so it will not be a huge difficulty for them not to be in their Ridings now.
