She taught business subjects at the Neepawa area collegiate until her retirement. Her students were very special to her and she continued to hear and receive visits from them for the rest of her life. For Winnie her family was her life. She cherished the regular phone Calls and visits from her daughters grandchildren and great grandchildren. The arrival of Braden and Carson brought special Joy to great Nan. The Bailey family Jan Brian Jerilyn Ryan and Alliso with whom she and Norm shared a Home for Many years were very special friends to her. Winnie always surrounded herself with a multitude of friends from All walks of life. Trying to make a better living he sought employment and got hired at the car shops. They settled in Transcona where their daughter Lori was born. There were some lean times and layoffs but he always managed to find work. He worked for Imperial Oil Orange crush and m. T. S. But always was recalled to car where he had 31 years of service retiring in 1983. Franks Favourite time was during the car shops Holiday in july. Head pack his Young family and his Favourite Nephew Daryl and his mom singing across the Prairies heading for the Rockies and the West coast. They crossed Canada from Vancouver Island to Prince Edward Island by car. He and Oresta travelled to Florida Barbados Hawaii and Europe but Best of All he loved to go camping and fishing up North to Rocky Lake with his brother in Law Dennis in their camper. He was an avid Deer Hunter until his first heart attack. After that Many health issues followed. He battled hard surviving an abdominal aneurysm prostate cancer carotid surgery a stroke and finally hip surgery. The loss of his daughter Lori from Lymphatic cancer on june 30th of this year made him lose his will to fight. He was predeceased by his parents Leon and Nora his brother de.
