And Worth every cent. Life in the re of. So these things have toilets. Its inadvisable to use them for anything other than a desperation Whiz. They dont take kindly to solids and even liquids test them. The Shower in the class a worked just swell thanks the one time it was used. Most often the experienced Over takes care of these things at the re Park where we would pull in and plug in for the night. All of these places have full washrooms and some have a Little restaurant or convenience store. You can also get fresh water at these places and empty your Grey and Black water tanks. There Are two kinds of used water one worse than the other. We stayed the first night at Bonnie Lake camping near Bracebridge after playing bigwig and bedded Down in a Park just outside Gravenhurst on night two. Our cupboards were Well stocked and so were the fridges. Its Nice to be Able to grab some grub or a cold beverage whenever you darn Well feel like it. We lit campfires and Sang Rowdy drinking songs. It is Good to know How things work. Example it would have been a plus to have known How to turn the heat on at 3 a. M. On night one. I had no idea. I did not even know we had heat capability when the engine was turned off. Thunder Bay was sawing logs in the master bedroom. The other three were sawing logs in the class c. It was late May and it was cold. Damn cold. I complained bitterly Over breakfast Bacon and eggs fired up on the Range. Of Huw said. Here. He flipped a switch that was two feet from where my Pillow had been and the heat poured out. Damn. The Rock carved out of the shield and Cut through the Pines near the town of Minett is a Golf course named the Rock. It was designed by Nick Faldo and he did a swell Job. So Good that they had to explode half of it three years after its completion. The owners wanted a course that was Tough and Nick did them fair. This course was Tough. Long with tiny Landing areas and fairways with such severe contours that badgers crossed them using ropes and Pitons. The greens were no picnic either. Magellan would have been pressed to navigate the Slick and treacherous grades. We asked Nick to design a course for Low handicappers and thatus what he did said Ron Powell director of outdoor maintenance at the Rock. After awhile we realized we were getting mostly High handicappers. We knew we had to bite the Bullet. Some of the holes were being called unfair or even ridiculous. So in 2007, the layout that was named the Best new course in Canada in 2004 was dynamited. Six holes were completely redone 14 were changed in total says Powell. We expanded the Landing areas and lessened the severity of the contours said head pro Garry Boyce. Now if you hit the Ball in the Fairway it will stay in the Fairway. Says you Boyce. Like a lot of courses in cottage country the Long term goal is to make this a private course buy a property and get a share of the club equity shares. So it might not be Long before this is a very Tough layout to get on. Until july greens fees Are $ 85. That includes cart yardage Book and Range balls. Post july the Price shoots up to $ 185, before declining again in the fall. Of apparently this is important. None other than jew Marriott is building its first hotel in the area. It looks Over one of the fairways and is scheduled for completion this fall. At some Point you will probably have to stay there to get on the course. Rattle and hum of. This is one of those things that goes without saying but must be said just for the record. Check out your ride before you leave. This is easier said than done especially if you Are new at the re thing. You really dont know what to look for. And the thing Isnit in motion while you Are doing your inspection. The re dealer will take you through the Interior explaining the various functions Etc. They will also Point out any malfunctioning equipment. Dont misunderstand they will not Send you out on the Road with a toilet that does not work or a refrigerator that does not keep its contents Cool but will make mention of minor deficiencies should there be any. In our Case in the class a there was a faulty Seal or something on one of the stove top elements. The dealer pointed this out. Huw was of with it no problem. But this meant the sob of a thing was bouncing up and Down and slamming Back and Forth Metal on Metal for the duration. Annoying at first. After awhile it became White noise. But we could have done without it. Then again we could have tried to fix it somehow. But nobody bothered. It was that kind of trip. Another irksome thing. The sliding door that separated the bedroom from the luxurious living quarters was a Slippery Slider no doubt.
