Josef Grochocki is in custody at the Winnipeg remand Centre charged with two counts of disobeying a court order to have no Contact with the couple and other similar criminal offences. Grochocki was on supervised probation at the time of his arrest sept. 22, stemming from a conviction in april for disobeying a no Contact order the couple has against him. On tuesday the husband said the incidents began on mothers Day 2007 when his wife was followed Home and confronted by Grochocki because she had the same Colour car As the mysterious Girlfriend. The couple had never seen the Man before. That same Day Grochocki knocked on the couples door asking if a woman was there believing the car actually belonged to the mystery woman. When told she a snot he became belligerent and paranoid that he was being lied to believing the couple was harbouring and hiding the woman in their basement and that they were keeping him from having a relationship with her. Grochocki then began coming to the House often leaving letters written in broken English about How people and the Media were out to get him. Sometimes he would leave Flowers and peer in their windows. Court documents show the couple was becoming increasingly worried about the mans actions. Hers mentally unstable and his letters Are talking about How he can no longer control his own actions hers becoming More desperate and braver the wife said in her application for a Protection order. After weeks of repeated visits from the Man the couple decided to seek the court order after Grochocki simply walked through the front door of their Home and had to be chased out by the husband. When the couple went to court to affirm their application excerpts of Groc Hockins letters were read by the magistrate who immediately ordered Grochocki to stay at least two City blocks from the Home and maintain no Contact or communicate with them. Police served him with the order on May 24, 2007. The latest incident was sept. 22 when the couple came Home from work to find Grochocki standing on their deck looking through a window. Two people remain in Hospital after suffering serious injuries last saturday. A 22 year old Man was brutally beaten by three men about 4 a. M. After an argument broke out just outside a Home on Aberdeen Avenue. Within the Span of an hour police arrested three men and charged each with aggravated assault. Russell John Harper 22, and 21 year old Jared Alex fiddler remain in custody. A 24 year old Man was released on a Promise to appear in court at a later Date. Hours later a 41 year old Man was attacked by two men after leaving a bar on Mcphillips Street. While at the bar the Man had become involved in a confrontation with a woman which May have triggered the mans attackers to follow him police said. Paramedics passing by in an ambulance rushed him to Hospital where he remains in critical but stable condition. Sunday police located two men aged 22 and 42, who Are now facing aggravated assault charges. Winnipeg police service spokeswoman const. Jacqueline Chaput said police Are aware that the level of violence suspects Are showing toward victims and officers is cause for alarm. We see it and it is concerning she said. Police have officially reported seven aggravated assaults in the last two months but court records suggest there have been Many others. Most occurred in Winnipeg Gas North end and inner City areas. The criminal code lists aggravated assault As one of Canadas most serious offences and can be levied against any person who wounds maims disfigured or endangers the life of the victim. James. Now a judge will be forced to weigh vastly different opinions from traffic crash analysts to decide whether the six year old tragedy was a criminal act. B Onar Lund finally began his Long delayed Case this week by pleading not guilty to charges including impaired driving causing death and dangerous driving causing death. Dale Mcdonald died of massive injuries while travelling As a passenger in Lundus car in november 2002. The men had left a bar in Winnipeg Beach and were heading Back to Gimli when Lundus vehicle went off the Road and crashed. There were no other vehicles on the Road at the time. A police officer came across the scene a Short time later. Mcdonald was pronounced dead at the scene while Lund was treated in Hospital for his injuries. The crowns Case will rest heavily on police experts who examined the deadly scene and concluded Lundus driving was not Only careless but criminal. They claim Lund was driving at a High rate of Speed a snot paying attention to the Road and was Likely impaired by alcohol. They have also submitted testimony from the preliminary hearing in which several people who were at the bar with Lund earlier that night spoke about his drinking. Those witnesses will not be called to give additional evidence based on the passage of time and a defence Concession that their earlier testimony can be read by the trial judge. Lundus lawyer will Call his own expert who also examined the scene and is expected to provide a much different opinion about the circumstances and cause of the deadly crash court was told this week.
