Com r rotary International District 5550 treated guests to dessert with David Steinberg sept. 27 at the Winnipeg convention Centre. Steinberg amused guests with tales and titbits of his youth Here in Winnipeg and his career accomplishments and successes As a director and comic having had his hand in to productions such As friends and Seinfeld and his new hit show sit Down comedy. Proceeds from the evening will go toward projects designed to bring International students to Winnipeg for peace studies in conjunction with world peace partners and the Winnipeg foundation. Meet the Moose Manitoba Moose season ticket holders were invited to pick up their season tickets in style at the third annual season ticket holders reception held at the Exchange restaurant at the its Centre. Season ticket holders were invited to mix and mingle with head coach Scott Arniel and members of the team get autographs signed by the players and photo Ops with Mascot Mick e. Moose. Pass Hendele premiere Paul Gross made a Stop in Winnipeg oct. 2 to premiere his epic War film pass Hendele at Empire theatres Grant Park cinemas. Co Star Caroline Dha Vernas and film producer Niv Fichman of rhombus Media also travelled to Winnipeg for the premiere and after party hosted by Ruth and David Asper. Guests at the after party rubbed elbows with the Canadian film stars and were treated to hours a oeuvres and dessert created by private chef Jon Shanski and team. Pass Hendele officially opens in Winnipeg on Friday oct. 17. Voices of the unheard inner City youth alive held their fundraising banquet on Friday oct. 3. The evening was titled voices of the unheard and featured artwork and poetry created by youth at the Manitoba youth Centre. Special guest Cheryl Bear provided the evenings entertainment and special awards were Given to Kristen Kroeker Tyson Knott and april Sinclair for achievements and volunteerism.
