Danial Todd Gratton 44, now faces new charges of sexual assault sexual interference uttering death threats kidnapping and abduction. He was similarly charged in connection with sundays incident in which a seven year old girl was abducted near her Belmont neighbourhood Home in Northeast Edmonton and dropped off in the town of Wildwood four hours later. Police have reported Gratton is a Long term sex offender. When he was arrested in december 2000, Gratton admitted to police that he had repeatedly abused five girls and a boy Between 1996 and 2000, including one child he admitted assaulting at least 70 times Over a six month period. The children ranged in age from two to eight. Gratton was sentenced in 2002 to six years in prison. Edmonton police May not have been fully notified of or Attonis history of sexual offences against children before he was released into the custody of the Phoenix program at Alberta Hospital two years ago. Upon or Attonis completion of the program in March 2008, he was released into the general Public under a 10 year supervision order.
