Michalyshin said the investigation would also look into allegations made on the website that officers who arrived on the scene praised the group for assaulting the would be thief. Ross claims he was then handcuffed to a vehicle and repeatedly kicked in his head. He was later rushed to Hospital and put into a medically induced coma to be treated for a severe head injury. He remained in Hospital until March 9. Ross had a prior record for Auto theft and was linked to a City Street gang but he was not changed with any offences in connection with the Jan. 7 stolen car. However Salihovic then 19, was charged with aggravated assault. His Case remains before the courts and is therefore considered innocent. Khaledi was later handed a $ 500 Fine under the private investigators and Security guards act for not doing a proper criminal background Check before he hired Salihovic. Salihovic was facing drug Possession charges at the time. In the statement of claim Ross says he temporarily lost the ability to speak and still suffers from memory and hearing loss dizziness and severe headaches. He also had permanent scarring from the beating and required brain surgery. He is suing Salihovic and Khz Aleiss s. K. Security services for unspecified damages. A statement of defence has not been filed yet.
