In a medium bowl, whisk together the sesame seeds, poppy seeds, sugar, olive oil, vinegar, paprika, Worcestershire sauce and onion. Cover, and chill for one hour. 2. In a large bowl, combine the spinach, strawberries and almonds. Pour dressing over salad, and toss. Refrigerate 10 to 15 minutes before serving. Ingredients: 1- 1/ 4 cups ( 300 mL) whole wheat flour 1- 1/ 4 cups ( 300 mL) large flake oats 2/ 3 cup ( 150 mL) cornmeal 2/ 3 cup ( 150 mL) natural wheat bran 3 tsp ( 15 mL) baking powder 1 tsp ( 5 mL) each baking soda, salt and cinnamon 1 orange ( optional) 2/ 3 cup ( 150 mL) brown sugar 2 eggs 1- 3/ 4 cups ( 425 mL) buttermilk 1/ 3 cup ( 75 mL) vegetable oil 1 tsp ( 5 mL) vanilla 1- 1/ 2 cups ( 375 mL) fresh or frozen blueberries or raspberries or a mix Ingredients: 8 oz cream cheese, softened 250 g 1/ 4 cup honey, liquid 50 ml 2 cups home - frozen strawberries, thawed and drained, plus 500 ml 2/ 3 cup juice from strawberries and water to yield 150 ml 3 cups miniature marshmallows 750 ml 2 cups whipped cream or whipped topping 500 ml Directions: 1. Preheat oven to 400F ( 200C). Lightly oil or spray a 12- cup muffin tin. Measure flour, oats, cornmeal, wheat bran, baking powder, baking soda, salt and cinnamon into a large bowl. Finely grate in 1 tbsp ( 15 mL) peel from orange, then add sugar. Using a fork, stir until evenly mixed. 2. In a small bowl, whisk eggs with buttermilk, oil and vanilla. Pour over flour mixture. Stir just until moistened, then add berries and stir until evenly distributed. Do not overmix. Divide mixture between muffin cups and fill each one right to the rim. 3. Bake in centre of preheated oven until a cake tester inserted in centre of muffins comes out clean, 20 to 25 minutes. Let stand 5 minutes, then turn onto a cooling rack. Delicious warm or at room temperature. Muffins keep well in a plastic bag or covered container at room temperature 2 days or freeze up to 1 month. Storage tip: Whole wheat flour, oatmeal and wheat bran stay fresh longer if stored in an airtight container in the freezer. Directions: Whip the cream cheese on low setting and gradually add the honey. Add strawberries and the juice. Fold in marshmallows and whipped cream. Spoon 5 ounces ( 125 ml) each into paper cups and insert sticks. Freeze 4 hours. Raspberries could be used in place of strawberries.
