Raid on Youville Street TWO men are in custody after a police search of a residence on Youville Street. The search took place in the 100 block of Youville on Thursday. The two men located in the home were arrested without incident. During the search, police seized the following items: . Approximately $ 56,000 in Canadian currency. . 295 grams of crack cocaine with an estimated street value of $ 24,000. . A loaded .40 calibre Glock handgun with two 10- round clips. . Two pellet guns. . Two sets of brass knuckles. Anthony Paul Carlucci, 31, of Winnipeg, and Shane David Ferguson, 30, of Hadashville, Man., are facing a number of drug- and weapons- related charges for their alleged involvement. Both were detained in custody. Vehicles collide head- on TWO people were taken to hospital following a head- on collision on Highway 12 near Steinbach Thursday night. The crash occurred at around 10 p. m., about 14 kilometres south of Steinbach. The initial investigation determined a southbound pickup truck slid into the northbound lane and collided head- on with a northbound car. Steinbach RCMP said road conditions in the area were very icy. The two occupants, a 26- year- old man from the RM of Piney, and the driver of the car, a 30- year- old La Broquerie woman, were taken to hospital in stable condition. Alcohol was not a factor and both drivers were wearing seatbelts. The investigation continues. Grow- op busted A grow- op bust in the North End resulted in two people dealing with drug- related charges. Winnipeg police executed a search warrant at a home in the 300 block of College Avenue on Thursday. As a result of the search, officers seized 508 marijuana plants ( estimated street value $ 568,960), 48 grams of dry marijuana ( estimated street value $ 480), grow- op equipment ($ 12,000 value) and $ 1,800 in Canadian currency. A 40- year- old man and 33- year- old woman, both of Winnipeg, are facing charges for their alleged involvement. They were released on a promise to appear. Crash injures rural man A 23- year- old Swan River man is in hospital after he crashed his truck into another vehicle on a highway near Benito. On Thursday at around 9: 30 a. m., Swan River RCMP responded to a two- vehicle crash on Highway 83. The investigation determined a southbound pickup truck rammed into a trailer being pulled by another truck. The 23- year- old driver of the first truck was rushed to hospital with serious injuries. The driver of the truck with the trailer, a 60- year- old man from the RM of Mountain, was not injured. Alcohol is not a factor, and both men were wearing seatbelts.
